I'm a Data Scientist at Silent Spring Institute with a background in mathematics, statistics, and computer science. I'm currently developing DERBI (Digital Exposure Report-Back Interface) which is a tool for creating personalized chemical exposure reports so that participants in biomonitoring can learn their own results and what they mean. I graduated with a degree in Mathematics from SUNY Geneseo, where he conducted research in computational epidemiology, specifically the spread of influenza in theoretical populations.Topic Modelling: My talk will show how to apply topic modeling to the transcripts of cable news shows using tools available in R.Text Analytics
